The 2011-2012 fellows of the Transatlantic Academy held a book launch on December 10 for Want, Waste or War? The Global Resource Nexus and the Struggle for Land, Energy, Food, Water and Minerals, based on the 2012 report of the Academy and published by Routledge in November. The book focuses on the nexus of resource connections, the sustainability of contemporary consumer resource use, and the ramifications for governance in the realms of markets, inter-state relations, and local human security. Two of the authors, Geoffrey Kemp and Stacy D. VanDeveer, sat down with Tessa Paganini, Program Officer for the Energy & Society Policy Program at the German Marshall Fund, for a discussion about their findings.
