NATO World Views: Tommy Steiner on the NATO-Israel Partnership

In this episode of NATO World Views, Bruno Medroa, who works on the Foreign and Security Policy Program, interviews Tommy Steiner, a senior research fellow at the Institute for Policy & Strategy at the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya. Steiner offers his perspective on how NATO can be a more attractive partner for Israel on several security issues. Pointing to Turkey’s competing interests and NATO’s involvement in the Mediterranean more broadly, Steiner highlights key areas of improvement for a stronger partnership between NATO and Israel. The interview concludes with an examination of how NATO can benefit from a partnership with Israel, and what improvements are realistic for the partnership.
