Amy Studdart, program officer in GMF’s Brussels office, discusses the future of India’s economy with Sachin Pilot, India’s Minister for Corporate Affairs, at the India Trilateral Forum in April. Although India continues to face multiple challenges simultaneously, Pilot says maintaining India’s slowed economic growth is imperative. In the last decade, India’s economy has grown by 8 percent, nine out of the ten years. This year, however, the economy has only grown by 5.5 percent. While he says this rate is not bad, Pilot believes India’s economy should be growing much faster because of its appetite for improvement.
