GMF Announces: 2025 Marshall Memorial Fellowship Cohort
GMF Leadership Programs is excited to announce the 2025 Marshall Memorial Fellowship cohort.
The fellows have successfully completed a highly competitive application and selection process. The Leadership Programs team is proud of all the outstanding applicants and is thrilled to have assembled such a diverse and impressive group.
The team extends its sincere gratitude to all alumni who shared this opportunity with their networks, nominated candidates, and contributed their time and expertise to the evaluation process.
The team now looks forward to collaborating with the fellows over the next year, starting with the virtual programming and culminating in September with 24 days of immersive travel across the United States and Europe.

Alen Amini
Alen Amini is a project leader at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he leads engagements in the firm's federal government and aerospace and defense practices and advises clients on strategic issues. He is also the executive director of Inclusion Seekers, a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing social inclusion for individuals with disabilities around the globe through family- and community-led projects
Amini previously ran the WiderNet Project, a nonprofit organization providing offline information access to over two million people who lack reliable internet access across the world, and he was a high school math teacher and vice principal in southeast Arkansas. He also worked at the National Economic Council supporting trade, commerce, broadband access, and education initiatives. His work and writing have appeared in the New York Times, Haaretz, Jerusalem Post, Forbes, and Poets and Quants. He was a Center for Public Leadership Zuckerman Fellow at Harvard University and a Presidential Leadership Scholar. He is an alumnus of the Atlantic Council’s Millennium Leadership Program.
Amini holds a master’s degree in public administration and a master’s degree in education from Harvard University, an MBA from the Dartmouth College Tuck School of Business, and a degree in computer science from the University of Pennsylvania.

Romesh Anketell
Romesh Anketell is a program officer with the Ralph M. Parsons Foundation. He also serves on the board of two performing arts organizations—The Music Center and MUSE/IQUE. He works to improve the well-being of the residents of Los Angeles through grantmaking in health, human services, civics and culture, and education.
Anketell spent 12 years in the public health sector working to address the social determinants of health and to support vulnerable communities. He engaged in extensive grantmaking activities with a variety of partners, including the Centers for Disease Control and the Los Angeles and California state public health departments.
Anketell holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master’s degree in public health from Loma Linda University, where he completed a field practicum in Sri Lanka working on post-tsunami recovery and emergency preparedness. Additionally, as a member of a diaspora community that was displaced due to ethnic conflict, Anketell is a dedicated advocate for marginalized communities, including those that are LGBTQ+, unhoused, or displaced. He is committed to creating equitable systems that provide access and opportunity for all. His focus is on building cities through inclusive policies and creating stronger communities that uplift all individuals.

Marta Barandiy
Marta Barandiy began her studies at Ivan Franko National University in Lviv, where she focused on international law. She continued her education at Saarland University in Germany, earning her master’s degree and PhD there, with a focus on European integration and state sovereignty. Her academic background provides a deep understanding of the legal and political complexities of the relationship between Ukraine and the EU.
Barandiy founded Promote Ukraine, a Brussels-based nonprofit advocacy and media organization that advocates for Ukraine and Ukrainian civil society to EU policymakers. She has mobilized political and humanitarian support for Ukraine.
Barandiy is the laureate of the 2022 European Citizen’s Prize awarded by the European Parliament, which recognized her efforts to promote human rights and democratic values. She also founded the Promote Freedom Foundation, which operates in Brussels and Los Angeles, and serves as the editor-in-chief of the “Brussels Ukraïna Review”. She also founded and leads Djannet Consulting, a Brussels-based lobbying firm.
Between 2018 and 2022, Barandiy represented the law firm Asters in Brussels and lectured at the Ukrainian Free University in Munich on sovereignty in international and European law. She is the author of two monographs and ran as the top candidate for the Belgian political party Voor U in the 2024 European Parliament elections. Since July 2024, she has served as the representative of the Ukrainian Ombudsman in Belgium and for EU Affairs. She continues to champion Ukrainian rights in Europe.

Tony Bishop
Tony Bishop is a public policy professional who most recently served as a presidential appointee in the White House and the Department of Homeland Security. He focused on national security issues, including cybersecurity, counterterrorism, and emerging threats.
Prior to his appointment, Bishop served as the deputy policy director for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. There, he wrote policy guidance for members of Congress and congressional candidates on topics including the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act. He also previously served as the executive director of the Ohio Legislative Black Caucus (OLBC). In this role, he worked to create and advance public policy to empower the Black community alongside a voting bloc of 19 Black members of the Ohio state legislature. He served as OLBC’s spokesperson and led the organization’s arm that oversees fundraising efforts and provides community resources and civic education initiatives.
Bishop was a Robert Schuman Fellow in the European Parliament and worked in the Directorate General for the Presidency as a member of the team for relations with national parliaments. He was also a Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF) Fellow in the office of House Democratic Caucus Chairman Hakeem Jeffries. In his spare time, he volunteers with CBCF, and he helped establish the CBCF-Oxford Partnership, a scholarship for CBCF alumni to pursue master’s degrees at the University of Oxford’s Magdalen College.
Bishop holds both a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree from Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio.

Angelyne Butler
Angelyne Butler serves as the 24th mayor of Forest Park, Georgia, the first person of color elected to that position. During her term so far, her administration has generated 3,250 jobs. She expects to add another 1,500 well-paying positions to that. Upon taking office in 2018, she inherited a $14 million debt from acquiring Fort Gillem, a former US Army base, which was repaid in 2023. The land was redeveloped into a business park that has generated $1 billion in investments. She has also managed a $42 million operating budget, commenced construction of a new multimillion-dollar public safety facility, developed a four-year plan for capital improvement projects, and secured a $51 million partnership and investment initiative with Truist.
Butler is affiliated with or serves on various local boards. She holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Spelman College, a master’s degree in public administration from Troy University, and is working toward a PhD in theology from Restoration Theological Seminary.

Admir Čavalić
Admir Čavalić is a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is the president of the committee for economic and financial policy, and a member of the committee for EU integration and the audit committee. He was previously a city councilor in Tuzla.
Čavalić has almost 15 years’ experience in the nongovernmental sector. In 2011, he founded Multi, the first free market think tank in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He implemented numerous projects, including the Catallaxy seminars, which had more than 10,000 student participants, and OPEN Fest Sarajevo, Europe’s largest libertarian festival.
Čavalić was a director of the Cantonal Privatization Agency of the Tuzla Canton, where he spearheaded institutional transformations. He also has more than eight years’ experience in the academic community as a professor and researcher and has authored numerous books and scientific and professional journals.
Čavalić is an alumnus of the International Republican Institute’s 2023 McCain Fellowship for Freedom and the 2016-2017 British Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s fellowship. He completed the Stanford University Leadership Academy for Development program under the mentorship of Francis Fukuyama in 2017. He also participated in Acton University (Muslim Cohort) 2019 and the Atlas Network’s Think Tank MBA leadership program in 2017.
Čavalić holds a PhD in economics from Tuzla University, where his thesis focused on corporate social responsibility cooperation between the business sector and civil society organizations. He has two master's degrees, one in marketing and the other in management, from Tuzla University.

Camilla Chapman
Camilla Chapman is an expert in countering foreign information manipulation and influence and has worked for over a decade advising governments, militaries, and civil society organizations on crisis response and countering foreign information manipulation. Formerly a British civil servant, she specialized in strategic communications and counter-disinformation for the United Kingdom Cabinet Office, where she played a key role in crisis responses. These included the UK Covid-19 strategy and communications alignment around the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Chapman established Bulgaria’s first counter-disinformation units within the Ministry of Defense and Foreign Affairs, securing a National Commendation Medal for her contributions. She has supported strategic communication capacity-building across NATO’s eastern flank, working with governments in Ukraine, Moldova, Poland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and others to counter hybrid threats. She has also collaborated with NATO and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development on frameworks that bolster democratic resilience and public trust across Europe.
Chapman is a frequent speaker at international forums, including NATO’s Center of Excellence, the EU, and the Hague, where she speaks on countering foreign influence and fostering transatlantic collaboration.
Chapman holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in geography from Oxford University, with a specialization in post-communist Russia and European integration.

Salome Chikviladze
Salome Chikviladze is a strategic communications and financial literacy professional, currently serving as the head of the strategic projects division at the National Bank of Georgia. In her decade of working in the banking and public sectors, she has successfully managed the development and implementation of strategic educational initiatives that enhance financial literacy among diverse populations including women, youth, and small to medium-sized enterprises.
Chikviladze previously led the public relations and international cooperation division at the National Bank of Georgia, where she crafted and executed comprehensive communication strategies to raise public awareness and foster stakeholder engagement. She has also worked in marketing roles at various institutions, including ProCredit Bank and the Government of Georgia, where she designed and implemented effective marketing and communication strategies.
Chikviladze serves as an assistant professor of marketing at Business and Technology University and has held lecturing positions at several universities, teaching courses in marketing and public relations. She holds a postgraduate degree in strategic communications from King’s College London and an MBA in marketing from Tbilisi State University. She is fluent in Georgian, English, and Russian.

Sam Cho
Sam Cho is a Seattle-based entrepreneur and a commissioner of the Port of Seattle. His priorities in that role include economic development, sustainability, combating human trafficking, and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion. He was previously founder and CEO of Seven Seas Export, a trading company that exports US commodities to Asia; a political appointee in the Barack Obama administration; and a staffer for a member of the Washington State Senate and a member of the US Congress.
Cho was elected to the Seattle Port Commission in 2019, becoming the only minority commissioner at that time. In 2023, he became the president of the Port of Seattle Commission, making him the youngest and first person of color to hold that position. He was listed by Seattle Magazine as one of the 25 most influential people in the metropolitan region, and he was inducted into the Asian Hall of Fame in 2023. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and Forbes Business Council, and serves on several boards of directors, including those of the Seattle Symphony Orchestra, the Verity Credit Union, Greater Seattle Partners, and the Washington Council on International Trade.
Cho holds a master’s degree from the London School of Economics and a bachelor's degree from American University.

Kimberlee Cordova
Kim Córdova is a Mexican American culture journalist and independent curator. In her work she analyzes power, politics, and technology’s impacts on society through art and cultural institutions.
Córdova has worked in international art and culture institutions for ten years. She has contributed to exhibitions at several leading institutions, including the Museo Franz Meyer, the Wattis Institute for Contemporary Art, Spike Quarterly, and Museo de Arte Zapopan. She is a regular contributor to numerous publications, writing reviews, theoretical texts, and investigative journalism focused on the arts and culture in political agendas. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, Art Forum, e-flux, Art Review, deAppel, frieze, SFMoMA Open Space, Mousse, and Momus, where she was the Mexico City contributing editor from 2016 to 2020. She is a 2023 recipient of the Andy Warhol Foundation Art Writers Grant, and her work has twice been shortlisted for the International Award for Art Criticism. She has also contributed to several artist catalogs and monographs.
She is a 2020–2024 Zhi Xing China Eisenhower Fellow and a 2023 Fulbright Public Policy Scholar. She holds a master’s degree in design studies from Harvard University and is a graduate of the Programa Educativo Soma, the master’s degree in fine arts equivalency, in Mexico City. She received her bachelor’s degree from the College of Creative Studies at the University of California at Santa Barbara.

Philip Essienyi
Philip Essienyi is a dedicated policy professional passionate about technology, government service delivery, and sustainable development in developing countries. As a native of Ghana, Essienyi is committed to strengthening the capacity of institutions to achieve public sector goals in Africa and to cultivating fresh, responsible, and ethical leadership that improves outcomes for Africans.
Essienyi works at Amazon Web Services, shaping opportunities to advance the use of cloud services in regulated industries. He previously worked in healthcare consulting, helping government clients implement new information technology solutions to improve healthcare delivery for US service members. He also worked on delivering humanitarian relief programs in Thailand that expanded access to educational opportunities for Myanmar refugees and economic migrants. Prior to that he worked with Native American tribes to strengthen opportunities for socioeconomic advancement in their communities. He is a former US Navy medic and served in the US Army National Guard, where he focused on improving field artillery data capabilities and combat readiness.
Essienyi holds a master’s degree in public policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. He holds a master’s degree in public health from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Ghana.

Tariq Fanek
Tariq Fanek has more than eight years’ experience in NGOs, bridging the gap between international relations and local impact. He began his career at the American Red Cross, where he managed disaster relief operations with a budget exceeding $25 million.
At Global Detroit, which works to drive equitable local, regional, and statewide economic growth through immigrant inclusion, Fanek spearheaded the design of statewide policies promoting economic and community development. He secured more than $125 million in government funding for various initiatives.
Fanek was a fellow at the United States Global Leadership Coalition, where he advocated for increased investment in the US Department of State and championed innovative diplomacy strategies. He is fluent in Arabic.

Cinthia Flores
Cinthia Flores was appointed in 2020 by California Governor Gavin Newsom to serve as a board member on the California Agricultural Labor Relations Board. She is a quasi-judicial officer, adjudicating claims arising from state labor law. Prior to her appointment, she practiced immigration law, with a focus on defending individuals from deportation.
Flores serves as vice president of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Alumni Association board of directors and vice president of Latinas Lead California, a political action committee dedicated to supporting Latinas in their pursuit of elected and appointed office. She is a former president of the Latina Lawyers Bar Association, the only nonprofit organization in the United States dedicated to supporting Latinas in the legal profession. In 2022, the Hispanic National Bar Association recognized her as a “Top Lawyer Under 40”.
Flores is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine, School of Law. While studying there, she served on the University of California board of regents, where she secured funding for diversity programs and undocumented-student centers. In recognition of her academic record and public service, she was awarded several scholarships, including the California Bar Foundation Diversity Scholarship, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Legal Defense and Education Fund’s Earl Warren Scholarship, and the Mexican American Bar Foundation Law School Scholarship.

Julian Gluck
Julian Gluck is a distinguished graduate of the US Air Force Academy, having earned his wings from the Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training Program. He served as a combat pilot in campaigns against the Taliban and the Islamic State group, helping liberate besieged civilians in the cities of Mosul and Raqqa. He was later deployed again to support stability and security in the Indo-Pacific.
For "exemplary military service beyond the call of duty", including volunteering with marginalized immigrant populations, Gluck was selected as the 2018 Air Force Times Airman of the Year. He also received the 2019 Secretary of the Air Force Leadership Award as the top graduate among 3,803 students at Air University's Squadron Officer School and was named to Forbes’ 2020 “30 Under 30” list for law and policy. He volunteers on the boards of multiple national nonprofits supporting youth leadership development and is chairman emeritus of the council representing the Air and Space Forces' 47,000 junior officers. He was chosen for the US Junior Chamber’s 2023 Ten Outstanding Young Americans for humanitarian leadership.
Gluck is a published academic author and fellow with various think tanks. He is an MBA candidate at Harvard University and serves as a major in the US Air Force Reserve.

Alexander Kleibrink
Alexander Kleibrink serves as senior policy officer in Germany’s Ministry of Education and Research in Bonn. He is a senior expert who has worked for 15 years in local innovation, digitalization, regional and urban development, and accountability. His experience includes planning, budgeting, monitoring and evaluation frameworks, policy analysis, stakeholder dialogues, and program and project management.
Kleibrink has held fellowships at the Bosch Foundation, the KDI School of Public Policy and Management in South Korea, and the Bertelsmann Foundation. His professional interests include innovations that help organizations perform better and design better services and solutions. He has worked in eight countries in Southern, Central, and Eastern Europe, and the Balkans.
Kleibrink has experience in international development and was a policy team leader at the European Commission, working on innovation policies and local development. He was also an adviser at Germany’s Ministry of Finance and a research fellow at The Transformative Power of Europe, a research group funded by the German Research Foundation. His publications include “Quantitative Methods for Place-based Innovation Policy: Measuring the Growth Potential of Regions”, and “Political Elites and Decentralization Reforms in the Post-Socialist Balkans”.
Kleibrink holds a PhD in political science from the Free University of Berlin and a master’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Alex Mocanu
Alex Mocanu is a project professional who has worked for 17 years in migration-focused international organizations. He serves as a project manager at the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) in Moldova. His responsibilities include project oversight, strategic planning, budgeting, and stakeholder management. He plays a crucial role in designing new projects and engaging donors to lead impactful initiatives aimed at enhancing the migration and border management systems in his country and beyond. Mocanu aspires to further his leadership journey at the ICMPD, and he seeks to elevate his organization as an authoritative voice in migration policy development both in Moldova and internationally.
Mocanu holds a master’s degree in international development and management from Lund University and a master’s degree in international and comparative law from George Washington University. He is also a certified project management professional and has completed various specialized training programs in migration policy, human rights, and humanitarian assistance.

Racien Nowak
Racien Nowak is a climate and clean energy professional working for Shell Recharge on global electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure strategy and deployment. She works across ecosystems to ensure that the energy transition happens at pace and designs market-specific EV charging solutions. She advises on electric vehicle and energy policy implications, sets strategic direction, and works with clients worldwide to advance EV charging infrastructure.
Nowak worked in the public sector on clean energy projects promoting and researching acceptance and innovation of the energy transition in Germany, the EU, North America, and the Middle East and North Africa region.
Nowak was a full scholarship recipient of the Heinrich Böll Foundation. She holds a master’s degree in public policy from the Hertie School in Berlin and a bachelor’s degree in economics and governance from Wageningen University in the Netherlands. She speaks German, English, and Dutch.

Lejla Nuhanović
Lejla Nuhanović is a national political officer at the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE)’s head of mission office in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where she focuses on promoting democratic governance, political stability, and policy reforms. She leads initiatives that encourage young parliamentarians to address environmental issues through legislative action, recognizing the critical role of eco-friendly policies in Bosnia’s sustainable future. She is also the founder of Rising Horizons, an NGO dedicated to advancing democratic governance, economic freedom, and civic engagement in Bosnia. Her work reflects a deep commitment to fostering regional cooperation and building inclusive, resilient political structures.
Nuhanović is a proud alumna of the McCain Global Leaders (MGL) program, a transformative experience that has played a key role in shaping her leadership approach. Through MGL, she engaged with US members of Congress, visited US government institutions, and gained firsthand insights into US politics. She also participated in the Atlas Network Leader Lab, where she developed skills in project management and leadership.
A technology enthusiast, Nuhanović explores how digital tools can be integrated into governance to drive political innovation. She is dedicated to using technology to strengthen democratic governance and reform across the Western Balkans and actively participates in initiatives that promote regional cooperation and long-term democratic stability.

Jeanette Quick
Appointed by former President Joe Biden, Jeanette Quick is former deputy assistant secretary of financial institutions policy for the US Treasury. She was previously appointed by California Governor Gavin Newsom to be the deputy commissioner of investor protection for the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation. Quick has also worked as the head of compliance, public policy, and financial services legal for Gusto; senior counsel to Chairman Tim Johnson and Chairman Sherrod Brown of the US Senate Banking Committee; and senior attorney at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
Quick is an Obama Leader, Eisenhower Fellow, American Council on Germany Young Leader, Truman National Security Project Political Partner, United States-Spain Council Young Leader, and Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs New Leader. She is an invited member of the American Council of Young Political Leaders, the Pacific Council on International Policy, and the Bretton Woods Committee, and serves on the board of the Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum.
Quick has testified before Congress, and her work advocating for underserved communities and financial inclusion has appeared in many publications, including The Baltimore Sun, Fast Company, MSN, Morning Consult, Forbes, Business Insider, the San Francisco Chronicle, The Hill, and American Banker.

Rita Saias Ribeiro dos Santos
Rita Saias works as a political adviser on youth and intergenerational dialogue to the president of the Portuguese Republic. She has led the Portuguese National Youth Council and was a member of the executive committee of the World Conference of Ministers Responsible for Youth and Youth Forum Lisboa+21. She has served as a consultant for the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund in São Tomé and Principe, cohosted a national radio show on political matters at TSF Radio, and worked as an invited professor. She began her career in the third sector, working and volunteering for local and international NGOs in Portugal, Mozambique, and São Tomé and Principe.
Saias is a public speaker and activist who speaks on topics including elections, civic participation, and democracy. She recently created a book club on these issues and launched other related initiatives aimed at democratizing access to political knowledge and institutions.
Saias holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Lisbon and a master’s degree in leadership governance and democracy studies from the Catholic University of Portugal. She is currently completing a master’s degree in strategic communication with a dissertation on international public diplomacy from NOVA University Lisbon.

Natalie Samarjian
Natalie Samarjian is the president and CEO at Coro Southern California, which provides civic leaders with the skills, knowledge, and networks they need to effect meaningful change, foster a thriving democracy, and tackle society’s biggest challenges together.
Samarjian was a staff attorney at the California Women's Law Center (CWLC), where she addressed the legal needs of women and girls through impact litigation, public policy advocacy and legal education. Prior to CWLC, she was a staff attorney and the Dickran Tevrizian Fellow at Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County (NLSLA), where she represented victims of domestic violence, supported impact litigation, engaged in public policy advocacy, conducted extensive community outreach, and provided legal education. Before joining NLSLA, she was a labor and employment litigator at Rutan & Tucker, LLP, a California-based law firm. While there, Samarjian was engaged in pro bono efforts and successfully represented an asylum seeker before the Department of Homeland Security. Before embarking on her legal career, she was a human capital consultant in Deloitte & Touche LLP's public sector practice, where she led the firm's national public-sector human capital community of practice initiative.
Samarjian holds a law degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Law, a master’s degree from the Heinz School of Public Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University, and a bachelor’s degree from UCLA. She is an alumna of the Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs and Emerge California. She is a recipient of the “Empowerment Congress’ Emerging Civic Leaders 40 Under 40” award and was named one of “LA Impact-Makers to Watch”.

Saad Siddiqui
Saad Siddiqui is managing director of emerging markets macro research at JP Morgan, based in New York. He oversees a global team responsible for research and investment strategy for emerging markets currencies and local bond markets, advising a wide range of JP Morgan’s institutional clients and policymakers on the macro and investment outlook. Siddiqui and his teams have been consistently top-ranked in global industry surveys throughout his tenure at JP Morgan, including in the Institutional Investor survey.
Siddiqui was head of Europe, Middle East, and Africa emerging markets (EMEA EM) currencies and rates strategy at JP Morgan in London. He also held roles in quantitative macro research and fixed income strategy at Morgan Stanley Investment Management and Credit Suisse. He and his teams have extensively analyzed and published research on key issues at the intersection of geopolitics and geoeconomics, including the macro and market implications of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, tracking the impact of global supply chain realignment and near-shoring, as well as the future of the US dollar as a reserve currency.
Siddiqui holds degrees in economics, finance, and econometrics from the University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, and the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Semuhi Sinanoglu
Semuhi Sinanoglu is a researcher at the German Institute of Development and Sustainability, working on improving transatlantic cooperation in corporate civic responsibility to safeguard democracy against information pollution. He studies the ways in which autocrats employ and justify repression with propaganda and information manipulation in polarized contexts and ensure their political control of key social groups during economic downturns. He is also a contributor to computational and experimental methodological tools in political science research.
Sinanoglu was a cofounder of a Toronto‑based political risk consultancy company, Maidan Analytics, which leverages open data to forecast protests and elections under electoral autocracies. He also cofounded two social impact initiatives. One, based in Montreal, advocated for social inclusion in the design of smart cities. The other, based in Istanbul, mobilized more than 30 stakeholder organizations in six countries across the Middle East and North Africa region to foster youth employment in the wake of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Sinanoglu was a graduate associate at the University of Toronto’s Postcor Lab, a Trudeau Centre Fellow at the Munk School, a fellow at Jeanne Sauvé Foundation, a regional manager at Digital Society Project, and a Human Rights and Governance fellow at the Open Society Foundations. He is also an alumnus of Massey College and a member of the Global Relations Forum.
Sinanoglu holds a PhD in political science from the University of Toronto.

Candace L. Wallace
Candace L. Wallace is a public health professional with extensive experience in designing and leading community health strategies at the federal, state, and local levels to serve both urban and rural populations. As the founder and principal consultant of Seeds of Life Consulting, a community health solutions firm, she works to integrate trauma-informed practices within public health and civic spaces to promote holistic wellness and healing for individuals and institutions. She is also a certified trauma-informed coach, endorsed by the International Coaching Federation.
Wallace holds a bachelor’s degree in urban studies and a master’s degree in adult learning and development from Cleveland State University. One of her chief leadership accomplishments has been overseeing the Woodhill Choice Neighborhood Implementation Plan—People Strategy, a project focused on transforming communities through strategic and people-centered initiatives.
Her servant leadership, strategic operations, and partnership development have earned her recognition in the public health community. Wallace’s scholarly contributions include two publications: the “Impact of Cost-Effective Mobile Mammography Screening and Education to Homeless Women in Cleveland”, presented at the 2020 American Public Health Association Annual Meeting, and “Utilizing Continuous Improvement Tools to Increase Community Cancer Screening Efficiency”, presented at the 2020–2021 Case Western Reserve University Cancer Disparity Symposium.
