Angelina Sutalo is GMF’s senior press officer. Based in Brussels, she is the lead for media relations across GMF’s seven offices in Europe. She is responsible for developing and implementing communications strategies for the organization, leveraging GMF’s events and activities to create communications opportunities, and elevating GMF’s profile and visibility in the press.
Before joining GMF, Sutalo spent almost a decade at the United Nations’ International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in The Hague, where she conducted projects for the Office of the Chief Prosecutor and the Registry. For most of her tenure at the ICTY, Sutalo worked in the media office of the Tribunal’s Communications and Outreach Section, where she was responsible for both internal and external communications including media relations, drafting the tribunal’s official newsletter, and managing news content for the court’s intranet. In addition, Sutalo planned and executed high-profile and multicultural events such as international conferences, the Open Day organized with the City of The Hague, and diplomatic corps visits.
Sutalo holds a master’s degree in European studies from the University of Maastricht in The Netherlands.
