Please join the German Marshall Fund of the United States' Frontlines of Democracy Initiative on Friday, November 20 for a timely briefing with Amb. Ahmet Ünal Çeviköz, deputy from the Republican People's Party (CHP) to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and a former ambassador of Turkey to the United Kingdom. CHP is the main opposition party in Turkey.
The conversation with Amb. Çeviköz will focus on Turkey’s foreign policy priorities, including regional issues and its relationship with transatlantic partners, including the United States. As a foreign policy advisor to the chairman of CHP he will also discuss foreign policy from the perspective of the opposition party. Given the growing foreign policy and national security engagement in Turkey's periphery, regionally and globally how should Turkey engage strategically with the United States and EU in 2021 and beyond?
