Only one month ahead of the election, the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) together with the United States Association of Former Members of Congress (FMC) will feature two former members of the U.S. House of Representatives to discuss congressional politics and the prospects for bipartisan initiatives after the 2020 presidential election. We will assess the current state of congressional politics and its changing role within the system of checks and balances, and discuss the outlook for overcoming hyper-partisanship after the election in November.
