The German Marshall Fund of the United States and the Transatlantic Democracy Working Group (TDWG) invite you to a timely roundtable conversation with Attila Mesterhazy, acting NATO Parliamentary Assembly (PA) president, and OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (PA) President George Tsereteli. 

Acting President Mesterhazy and President Tsereteli will discuss the roles they play, along with the NATO PA and OSCE PA, in strengthening democracy, security, and cooperation at a time of great uncertainty and growing divides across the Atlantic and in Europe. As parliamentarians, they bring a unique perspective to address the internal challenges facing OSCE and NATO member states, including growing democratic, free media, and human rights backsliding and the external hybrid challenges of Russia, China, and continued threat of terrorism. Mesterhazy and Tsereteli are also at the center of efforts to promote shared Transatlantic values and advance the conversation between critical multilateral organizations and domestic constituencies that are increasingly discontented and disconnected from these institutions. What role do the NATO PA and OSCE PA play today in creating new bridges to skeptical citizens and in building a new era of trust and support for collective security and democratic values?
