Spain is looking to increase its global profile and recently rolled out a new, four-year foreign policy action plan focusing on economics, climate, technology, and governance, even as the country seeks to recover from the global pandemic and overcome internal political challenges. A NATO ally and EU member that hosts U.S. forces, Spain enjoys significant transatlantic cultural and commercial ties that the Sanchez government hopes to better exploit. Please join Dr. Manuel Muñiz Villa, State Secretary for the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Union and Cooperation, to discuss Spain’s foreign policy goals in Europe and in reinvigorating transatlantic relations and the key opportunities and challenges he foresees.
