As part of its Future of American Power series, The German Marshall Fund of the United States is pleased to invite you to a conversation with national security and Asia expert Mira Rapp-Hooper to discuss her latest book Shields of the Republic: The Triumph and Peril of America’s Alliances. The book audits the record of America's alliance system and lays out a proposal to salvage it for the 21st century.
GMF Executive Vice President Derek Chollet will moderate this conversation, which will discuss how U.S. policymakers should respond to a changing global order and why they need partners to defend against threats facing the transatlantic space.
