About this event
Shortly before 4 a.m. CET, Russian President Vladimir Putin launched an unprovoked attack against Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has declared martial law and is urging citizens not to panic, while residents of Kyiv were awakened by the sound of air raid sirens. Moscow has launched bombing attacks on airports and military facilities across Ukraine. This is shaping to be a large-scale coordinated land, sea, and cyber and campaign. Despite the warnings of intelligence officials, the West is not prepared, but it must react. What can and what should the West do now?
