Sam Woolley and Roya Pakzad will present new data on the spread of online Islamophobia in the leadup to the 2020 United States Presidential election. This report comes in the wake of landmark research on Gab, the far-right social media platform known for its white supremacist and Islamophobic discourse. This event will provide the opportunity to discuss the implications of online Islamophobia, white supremacy, and other hate speech, and what policy solutions are available as the 2020 election approaches.
