About this event
Few partnerships have been as complex and central to transatlantic relations in the postwar era as that between the United States and Germany. Peter Sparding’s recently released book, “No Better Friend? The United States and Germany Since 1945”, explores the changing dynamics between the two countries, which evolved from enemies in World War II to unlikely but steadfast partners throughout most of the Cold War. The event will explore history and future trajectory of US-German relations and their impact on the global order.
