About this event
After the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26), much work will be needed to implement the important policies and agreements made. Please join the German Marshall Fund of the United States, in collaboration with the Québec Government Office in Washington, for a public briefing event recapping COP26. This event will highlight the role of and collaboration among subnational entities to meet climate goals, and how the U.S. federal government can leverage subnational partners both domestically and abroad. The discussion will convene a select group of senior U.S., Canadian, and European policymakers and experts to discuss the outcome of the Glasgow meeting; what accomplishments have been achieved; where COP26 fell short; and, most importantly, what are the next steps necessary for the implementation of transatlantic climate cooperation.
