  • Patrick Davies, Former British Deputy Ambassador to the U.S.
  • In conversation with Karen Donfried, President, The German Marshall Fund of the U.S.

The German Marshall Fund of the U.S. is pleased to invite you to a conversation with Patrick Davies to discuss his book, The Great American Delusion: The Myths Deceiving America and Putting the West at Risk. Has the myth of American exceptionalism blinded the U.S. from the serious political, social, and economic problems it faces? With a myriad of challenges, both domestic and foreign, will the U.S. be able to lead? Have the divisions within society poisoned politics in the U.S.? Please join us for a discussion of American exceptionalism and its legacy in the world order.

Purchase options of The Great American Delusion: The Myths Deceiving America and Putting the West at Risk are available here
