As the coronavirus epidemic spreads across the globe, it has left none of the 50 U.S. states untouched. While some urban areas, including in New York, New Jersey, Louisania, and Illinois have been hit particularly hard early on, other hot spots are emerging across the country. Cases in the Midwest and in the mid-Atlantic are rising rapidly. Meanwhile, emergency preparedness,  access to health care and vital supplies varies vastly across the United States, as have local responses in the absence of clear federal guidelines.

The German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) is pleased to invite you to a conversations with GMF experts and local leaders to discuss how the coronavirus is affecting different communities in the United States, why certain demographic groups, including African Americans, are hit particularly hard, and how local officials are responding to the challenge.

Please register to join the conversation and take part in the Q&A with the panelists.
