As Europe emerged as a hotspot for the coronavirus pandemic, Denmark was one of the first European nations to announce restrictions, closing everything from schools and restaurants to borders and parks. The swift action helped to limit the spread of the virus, allowing the country to start easing some of its lockdown measures weeks before other European countries.

The German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) and the Embassy of Denmark in Washington, D.C. are pleased to invite you to a conversation with Dr. Søren Brostrøm, director general of the Danish Health Authority to discuss Denmark's approach and share lessons learned. The conversation, which will be moderated by GMF President Karen Donfried, will outline Denmark's response to the coronavirus and discuss the latest steps the country has taken as it seeks to emerge from the crisis.

Due to concerns about the coronavirus and in order to enable a wider audience to participate in this discussion, we invite you to join us via webinar. Please register to join the conversation and take part in the Q&A with the panelists.

If you have any questions, please contact William Stewart-Wood at [email protected].
