Cities are often on the frontlines of crises and emergencies, and it is no different for the coronavirus pandemic that has swept across the globe. So many of the pandemic’s epicenters are firmly ensconced in Europe and the U.S. right now leaving every city trying to understand their trajectory of infection rates and hospital capacities, and whether the tools they have in place can address the wide array of resident needs.

Some cities got hit early. Representatives from three of them—Torino in northern Italy, Seattle in the U.S. State of Washington, and Bilbao in Spain—will join Richard Lui, anchor and correspondent for MSNBC, for a dialogue about what’s worked in their emergency response and what hasn’t. They will also discuss what’s ahead on the road to economic recovery.

Hopefully the experiences and advice from these frontline public servants can prove helpful to anyone doing battle against the coronavirus and be of benefit to those in places with the worst yet to come.
