The German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) is pleased to invite you to our first virtual book talk in GMF’s Future of American Power series.
Join us for a conversation with GMF Non-Resident Fellow Michael Kimmage to discuss his new book The Abandonment of the West: The History of an Idea in American Foreign Policy. In his book, Kimmage explores the concept of the West, how it guided American foreign policy through the twentieth-century, and what its recent unravelling means for the future of the United States as a global power. GMF Executive Vice President Derek Chollet will moderate this discussion about the need for transatlantic cohesion in the face of authoritarian challenges from Russia and China.
