GMF Board Members Nominated by White House for Key Media, Infrastructure Roles
WASHINGTON—The German Marshall Fund is pleased to congratulate board members Amanda Bennett and Mitch Landrieu on being nominated to key roles in the Biden administration.
Amanda Bennett has been nominated to serve as the Chief Executive Officer at the United States Agency for Global Media. In this role, she will oversee U.S.-funded international news networks, including Voice of America and Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. Previously, Bennett served as director of Voice of America from 2016 to 2020.
Mitch Landrieu has been named Senior Advisor and Infrastructure Coordinator. In this role, he will coordinate implementation of the newly passed bipartisan infrastructure law. Previously, Landrieu served as Mayor of New Orleans from 2010 to 2018. He spoke at GMF’s Brussels Forum in 2019.
