Afghanistan’s Transition and Uncertain Future in 2014

After attending the India Trilateral Forum in Stockholm, Senior Transatlantic Fellow, Constanze Stelzenmüller, of the German Marshall Fund, discusses Afghanistan’s future after 2014 with Leela Ponappa, former deputy national security advisor of India. If Afghanistan is able to secure peace and stability within its borders, Ponappa insists that neighboring countries like Pakistan must respect a policy of “no interference.” Afghan people want stability to be instilled in their country; however, external factors like the role of the Taliban or Pakistan may prohibit their wishes.
