GMF's Belgrade office serves as the headquarters for the Balkan Trust for Democracy. The Balkan Trust operates with a small, experienced staff that actively seeks out and incorporates expertise from a wide variety of partners to ensure that the BTD’s programs are effective, responsive to local needs, and complementary to other initiatives supported by the international community.
BTD’s grantmaking activities now focus primarily on six countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, and Serbia.
