Turkey plays a pivotal role in its region, in Europe, and in the transatlantic alliance. GMF’s Turkey program creates a forum where Americans, Europeans, and Turks can learn from one another and address shared challenges.

Our Ankara office offers a platform for objective analysis and debate on Turkey, strengthens Turkey’s ties with the transatlantic community, and supports strong civil society in Turkey.

We implement initiatives aimed at increasing the quality of Turkish democracy, as well as addressing policy challenges along Europe’s borders, including the Balkans, the Black Sea region, and the Middle East. Our work aims at ensuring that the bridges between Turkey and the United States and Europe remain strong and stable for generations to come.
